    Crypto Currencies Not Banned in India

    In a much relief to crypto fans in India, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that Crypto is not banned in India. This statement came during a Supreme Court hearing case on crypto filed by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).

    RBI says that –

    The Reserve Bank of India has said it had not banned cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin in India, but only ringfenced regulated entities like banks from risks associated with trading of such virtual instruments.

    Further clarifying in a 30-page document, RBI said –

    Any possible avenues which facilitate anonymous cross-border fund transfer have to be acted upon swiftly and stringently dealt with. It is an admitted fact that VCs [virtual currencies] have been used to purchase illegal and illicit goods ranging from guns and ammunition to drugs.

    So, for now, Indian can invest in Cryptocurrency however banks in India have been directed in 2019 to block such transactions. We can soon expect a circular by RBI on this.

    Further Indian Government has inaugurated Block chain Center of Excellence in Bengaluru city with an aim to provide a clear understanding of cryptocurrency learning, experience and resources.

    SoFi launches beta version of SoFiInvest

    SoFi, i.e., Social Finance Inc has launched SoFi app, its cryptocurrency trading platform and now it’s open for general public use. The new platform is called SoFi and one can start their own investment by downloading the SoFi app from Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS or directly visit the website SoFi.com.

  • Mark Zuckerberg’s Head of Security Arrested of Physical Harassment – NowIamUpdated

    Two of Mark Zuckerberg’s staff have attacked the Facebook CEO’s head of security of serious misconduct.

    The head of security to the CEO, Liam Booth, who previously have had worked with the U. S. Secret Service, was testified of racist remarks, sexual harassment, and homophobic comments.

    Liam Booth, who currently heads the security section of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, was accused of making racist remarks towards Priscilla Chan, Mark’s Asian-American wife. Other members of the staff were reportedly subjected to a series of sexual and verbal harassment.

    Another staffer was also subjected to transphobic remarks by the head of security. Some of his racist remarks include “White lives matter more than Black lives” and that he “didn’t trust Black people.”

    The two former members of staff who leveled the allegations against the head of security worked in different departments during their days with Mark Zuckerberg and his company.

    One was a member of his domestic staff who oversaw his family affairs while the second person was a member of his security team. These individuals have hired Lisa Bloom, a California-based law firm, to represent them in court.

    As per the reports, the aggrieved individuals have made repeated efforts to curb Booth’s highhandedness. They alerted some of their superiors about Booth’s behavior but their complaints were disappointedly ignored.

    As the charges against Booth keeps ascending, he has been put on managing leave pending the outcome of the court case against him.

    The SC set down a request to replace an austere abortion law in Indiana. Indiana enacted a law in 2016, making abortion illegal in the state and laying restrictions on the disposal of fetal remains.

    This law was later repealed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In view of this new law passed by Alabama, other states are also reviewing their abortion policies.

    The deputy chief of the police force has already apologized to the journalist for such an action.
