There are notable differences between new-gen flip phones and their predecessors, primarily in cost and features. However, many elderly individuals still prefer the tactile feedback of physical buttons, making old-generation flip phones, which remain popular in America, a favorable option. One recent addition to this segment is the Sonim XP3 Plus, launched on the AT&T network similar to Cricket Debut Flex announced by Cricket Wireless.
The AT&T Sonim XP3+ is priced at $199.99, making it relatively more expensive compared to the TCL Classic flip phone also available on the AT&T network.
Regarding specifications, the Sonim XP3+ features a 2.8-inch non-touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It boasts an impressive battery life, offering up to 20 hours of talk time and up to 12.9 hours of standby time. Additionally, it supports quick charging, allowing for 50% charge in 40 minutes and full charging in up to 130 minutes.
Under the hood, the Sonim XP3+ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip with an octa-core processor, comprising four cores clocked at 2GHz and another four cores at 1.8GHz. It comes equipped with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of built-in storage, and microSD card support for up to 256 GB of additional storage.
