  • Google Fast Share is the Latest Android 11 Feature – AirDrop Alternative for Android

For years iPhone has easily beaten rival Android in every department. As of now the difference between iPhone and top-notch Android mobile phones is smaller than ever, thanks to Android borrowing iPhone features from time to time. Still, there are few iPhone features that are not available on Android and vice-versa.

Google this time is thinking to borrow AirDrop feature for sharing files easily with nearby devices. So-called Google Fast Share, it will function in the same way as AirDrop, a feature that Apple iPhone has for several years.

In January Google reported that they are working on AirDrop alternative for Android and now the tool has appeared on Android 11 Developer Previews by the name “Fast Share“. The Mountain View based search engine giant may abandon nicknames like “Nearby Sharing“.

The Google Fast Share or the Android Fast Share will work on similar technology related to AirDrop, i.e., you can send documents, photos, pictures, videos and other media between two devices through Bluetooth and WiFi pairing.

If this releases with Android 11 version, this would be a great feature addition to Android that the users were waiting for a long time.

Incidentally, XDA a popular site based on Android and mobile phones has a video showing this feature of data transfer between a Pixel 4 and Pixel 2 XL device –

As of now, there is no indication when the Android 11 will be released as Google I/O was canceled due to Coronavirus outage worldwide. The Android 11 will be possibly rolled out in September 2020, a safe bet.

Google seams to be in perfect mojo with both hardware and software with the Android and Pixel smartphones. After naming last year Android version as Android 10, the maker of Android is preparing for yet another Android version release. The upcoming Android version will be either named as Android R or Android 11.

The Google Pixel 4 mobile phone was launched in October 2019 and they are ready to launch a lite version of it, the Pixel 4a very soon. The device has been around for a considerable amount of time now but it has spotted again on the Geekbench database and this time for the Android version on it.

Here is the screenshot of what is shown on the recent Google Pixel 4 listing on GeekBench website –

As per the Geekbench listing, the Pixel 4 device is said to be running on Android 11 version. This is surely for the first time that we are hearing about the Android 10 successor version and Google itself hasn’t revealed any of their plans for the upcoming Android version but certainly it’s time to talk about the Android R version because there will be several Developer Previews before the final version gets a name/launched in Q3 2020. Perhaps a blog post has written pretty well about the Android 11 version and that all we have on the Internet right now.

This means that Android R Developer Preview are certainly round the corner and it will be the Google Pixel devices to get the update first.

  • Trump outlaws Huawei and China has no schemes to counter back – NowIamUpdated

US President banned Huawei from doing business with US Companies hereafter.

Since Huawei is a leading and emerging brand based in China, this has impacted them adversely. This is because they have lost the power to use Intel’s Chips as well as Google’s Android. In addition, companies like Panasonic went on the same path and stopped their trade.

Huawei had products coming in one after the other and was on the right track to becoming one of the more popular smartphones but after this ban, their growth has plummeted.

The founder of the company used this metaphor to describe the situation: like a plane with a hole in its side.

This metaphor aptly describes their situation as this ban means that the company would not do well but they are still up there and are certainly a recognized brand.

This ban is a way for Trump to show China that he is not specifically happy with the trade relationship that the two countries share.

Trump has already made progress in that area by imposing 25% tariffs on several Chinese imports to the United States of America.

When looked at through China’s eyes, reacting is of importance not only as a show of their economic strength but also because this means that restrictions are being imposed on their most significant overseas market.

As a result of this ban, however, China has been left in a dire state and does not show up to have numerous options left.

  • Huawei: Crash of the Tech Giant out of the US Market

Huawei has for long evaded the authorities, successfully skirting the law and operating in the corporate grey area.

Recent events have brought up many issues which the western governments have with the infrastructure and operations of this company.

From denying ties to the Chinese Intelligence and Military to mysterious ownership to evading sanctions, Huawei has not had a decent history with the watchdogs.

To say that the US ban on Huawei was abrupt is absurd. The company most likely knew that this was a serious possibility.

Let’s begin to understand how the largest telecommunications company in China resulted in being banned from the largest telecommunications market in the world.

To begin with, Huawei has often been accused of stealing intellectual property. Most remarkably, it was accused of stealing Cisco’s source codes.

Then have come to the accusations about intentional espionage and implementing hidden backdoors in their devices dedicated for spying on users.

The indications of many independent organizations of Huawei’s ties with the Chinese Military didn’t help the case made by Huawei while denying these accusations.

The absence of a clear structural layout and an established hierarchy in the company further worsened their ability to gain trust, especially in western nations.

Moreover, Japan had banned Huawei’s operations at the beginning of this year, citing similar reasons.

In the events leading up to the ban, the US House of Representatives went ahead and levied accusations on Huawei being a “national security threat” to America.

The directors of both the CIA and the NSA claimed that Huawei shared data with the Chinese intelligence and military.

This ban, which also stretches to restrictions on Huawei from accessing Google facilities and the Android platform, is seen as a response to this accusation.

With internal security already being a major agenda on the Trump election campaign, this ban toils as an acknowledgment to the growing Information Technology threat posed by the Chinese Market and generates opportunities for other telecommunication companies to move in and fill the Huawei sized void.

While the Chinese argue that this ban actually goes against the fair-use and intellectual property protection policies, the US agencies have expressed support of the move to uproot the company from the country.

  • Future Of The Chinese Giant, Huawei, Still In Doubts! – NowIamUpdated

Google just pulled off the Android support from Huawei’s phones.

This decision came after Trump’s presidency barred the U.S. telecommunications from using devices and components manufactured by foreign brands.

The Chinese giant has also suffered the repercussions of the accusation from the American government regarding stealing the technology.

The federal government’s decision for preventing the nation from security threats will affect foreign companies depending on American products and services.

Currently, Europe is a huge market for Huawei. The business, as well as customers in Europe and China, will be affected more than those in the USA.

More than one-fourth of the European android market is covered by the Chinese market.

The users and Huawei supporters are protesting against the federal government and Google regarding the same decision.

Intel and other suppliers of the equipment for the devices might cut off from the company too.

The company relies intensely on gadgets, services, and equipment from different countries, especially from the US.

The effect of this pullback will highlight the dependence and economic stability of the company.

The telecom giant is under immense stress as it is unclear what will it be able to recover from the impact.

The company has been granted a period of three months to work out ways to support its mobile phones and other products after which Google will completely withdraw its services.

Analysts have said that Huawei won’t be able to recover soon. Using their own Operating System anytime soon seems to be an impossible task for the company!

  • Fresh Look for Google search results

Google seems to have updated their interface with a fresh look in the mobile search results.

This fresh look gives a chance for the brand or site to be able to make the link or web address more attractive and customized.

The older look had a standard blue colored text with the site or brand in the green text which would comparatively be smaller and less evident.

The change of look gives more emphasis to the publisher as the brand logo is highlighted towards the left and on top of the standard blue text.

Even though this fresh look is very light and makes a very small change in the overall look of the search results, it is surely going to satisfy a lot of publishers and brands especially because of the small logo or personal icon option.

It specifically adds a unique pictorial identity to the site and highlights it very subtly.

Further would also make it easier for the users, especially when they have some previous preferences with publishers, this icon representation would make it easier for them to directly click on the link of their preferred publisher by scrolling.

Moreover, this makes it simpler for them to identify between the publisher’s websites and ads that come in the search results.

The advertisement links are now, also shown more prominently with a bold black “Ad” on a white background in place of the icon.

This is surely going to be a plus point for Google and moreover for the publishers.

This all new and improved look for the Google search results has been made official by Google themselves and is all set to be up and running in a few days.

  • Business restrictions from Google, impact it will carry on the Chinese Tech Giant…

Google will no longer continue with Huawei in the hardware or software dealings.

Google declared that it has decided to dismiss all the ties with the Huawei; the decision is clearly influenced by Trump’s presidency decision to impose severe restrictions on the Chinese companies.

The Huawei after the restrictions would become dis-qualified to use the licensed copy of the operating system Android to run their smartphones or any other devices.

Well, Business analysts have predicted that the whole scenario is going to cost Huawei a loss in millions, which will have a lasting effect on the company.

With this, the smartphone wing of the company will face the worst effect.

Furthermore, Trump’s presidency has passed an order stating that American companies need to have a license if they are willing to sell the goods to Chinese companies.

Google’s decision of business restriction is due that particular order, other tech companies such as Intel and QUALCOMM are also considering the restriction.

Huawei responded on the restrictions by mentioning their valuable contribution to the Android smartphone industry, which has not only benefitted the open source android market but also the whole of the smartphone industry.

The Huawei holds a major market share in the field of Android smartphones.

The Huawei has come up with an answer to their customers, giving them the certainty that their existing customers will not be affected due with the recent ban and the rest is taken care of.

Huawei is still hopeful that business constraint will be fixed in the coming days, their executives are in a constant discussion.

Well, as of now, they are also acting on an alternative which they can depend on for.

Huawei has been the second largest manufacturer of smartphones throughout the globe, also has the potential to be the largest by 2020.

However, there could put a damper on their plans after the said decision taken by Google.
