  • Nokia 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 Plus, 6.1, 6.1 Plus, 7.1, 7 Plus gets March Android Security Update 2020

    After launching Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 4.3 and Nokia 1.3 mobile phone, HMD Global has straightaway worked on delivering the Android security patch updates. As reported, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, 5.1 Plus, 6.1, 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1, and Nokia 7 Plus gets March 2020 Android Security Update.

    The Nokia 6.1 March security update weighs around 55.2 MB in size and you might have received the update notifications too for this. For the 6.1 Plus, the update file size is of around 18.3 MB.

    For Nokia 7.1 and 7 Plus, the March 2020 security update weighs around 17.8 MB and 55.1 MB respectively.

    For the Nokia 5.1 Plus this update weighs around 61.2 MB.

    These updates are available in various regions and users have reported its availability in Egypt, UAE, India, South Africa, and Malaysia.

    If you don’t see this update, you can force check for it by going through Settings > Software Update and then tap on Check Now.

    Talking about the changelog, this update brings a critical bug fix to vulnerability in the media framework which enables a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.

    HMD Global has already said that they provide software upgrades support to all of their smartphones in the Android lineup for two years and three years of security patch fixes. With that, it’s clear about the Android 11 roadmap.

    HMD Global Oy is the new home for Nokia mobile phones that are now powered by the Android operating system and that has changed everything. Nobody expected such a great comeback by Nokia, even they surpassed Blackberry and entered in to top 10 mobile phone manufacturers in 2019. With 2020, they are expecting big things as they have planned to launch 5G smartphones. So here we go through upcoming Nokia Android phones which are slated to launch in 2020.

    So here are the upcoming Nokia mobiles phones which will be launched in 2020 –

    Nokia 8.3 5G

    When we talk about higher numbers in Nokia mobile phones, it moves to flagship territory. After Nokia 8.1, Nokia 8.3 5G is up next in pipeline and its the phone that carries the brand for the first half of 2020. It will take on Samsung Galaxy S20, Note 11 and other flagship devices.

    The company launched new Nokia 8.3 5G at an event in the last week of March.

    Nokia 1.3

    Spotted in leaks earlier, the Nokia 1.3 goes official running on Android 10 Go Edition. previously it was spotted passing through Bluetooth certification with model number as TA-1213.

    Nokia 5.3

    Alongside Nokia 1.3, HMD Global also introduced Nokia 5.3 mobile phone.

    Nokia 3.3

    After the launch of the Nokia 3.2, it’s time for the .3 variants of it. This latest Nokia mobile phone device is expected to launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2020).

    Nokia 4.3

    As a successor to Nokia 4.2, the Nokia 4.3 is expected to launch early next year.

    Nokia 6.3

    The Nokia 6 series denotes the mid-range devices and after 6.2 launch in October 2019, there will be 6.3 after a year of gap from predecessor to successor.

    Nokia 7.3

    The Nokia 7 series denotes the mid to high end devices and after Nokia 7.2 release in September, it will be Nokia 7.3 in Q4 2020.

  • HMD Global announces Nokia 3.1 A and Nokia 3.1 C Smartphones running Android 9.0 Pie – NowIamUpdated

    It was only just a couple of days back that HMD Global launched Nokia 2.2 smartphone and now the company has announced all new Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 3.1 C smartphones officially in USA.

    Both are company’s latest budget smartphones for the US carriers AT&T and Cricket Wireless. Nokia 3.1 A is for AT&T and Nokia 3.1 C is specially for the customers with Cricket Wireless telecom operator. Technically it’s the same smartphone in terms of specifications.

    Going through Nokia 3.1 A specifications, the device comes with a 5.45 inch display with 1440 x 720 pixels HD resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass protection on top.

    Under the hood, the latest Nokia smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 mobile platform with Adreno 504 GPU with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage with a micro SD card slot supporting expansion up to 128 GB in size.

    In terms of camera, the device comes with a 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. While on the front we have a 5 mega pixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

    The device is backed by a 2900 mAh Lithium-ion battery and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, aGPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.

    The latest Nokia phone for USA runs on Android 9.0 Pie, the latest Android version out of the box and has 152.65 x 71.88 x 9.3 mm dimensions with weight of 181 gram.

    AT&T Nokia 3.1 A is available in Black color through Walmart stores starting from June 10th while the Cricket Wireless Nokia 3.1 C will be sold in White color through online from June 14th. Price will be revealed next week.
