Samsung Mobiles has officially launched the all new Galaxy XCover 4s smartphone, successor to last year launched XCover 4. Earlier it was anticipated that XCover 5 would be launching but it happens to be the XCover 4S smartphone because the company wasn’t ready to launch the actual successor.

With minor changes and improvements in camera and latest chipset, the Xcover 4S is a classical Samsung rugged phone available in Italy for EUR 299.99 (approx USD 340).

Going through the Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s specifications, the device comes with IP68 certification for being water and dust resistant and receives MIL-STD 810G military graded durability. It has a dedicated XCover key on the left edge which is in Orange color. In terms of display size, the classical 5 inch IPS HD display is back here.

Under the hood, the newest Samsung Galaxy phone is backed by an Exynos 7885 Octa core processor clocked at 1.6 Ghz.

Further going through the specs, it has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 512 GB using a micro SD card. The latest Samsung phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie version out of the box and might get the upcoming Android Q update.

In terms of camera, there is a 16 mega pixel camera on the rear side with f/1.7 aperture and there is also a 5 mega pixel camera on the front for selfies and video calling with f/2.2 aperture.

The device is backed by a 2800 mAh Lithium-ion battery which is removable. From the connectivity front it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, aGPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It has dimensions of 145.9 x 73.1 x 9.7 mm and weighs 172 grams and comes with Samsung Pay.
